BOOK REVIEW: The Women
by Kristin Hannah
I had low expectations going in because of the hype, but what a fabulous surprise to love a book so highly regarded—and I did love it.
As a long time MASH fan I was sucked into the Vietnam medical stuff pretty fast. No MASH-like banter but the romance lines keep the pages turning. And I swore mid-way that if the plot turned in a certain direction (no spoilers) that I would throw it at the wall, but Hannah served exactly what I needed—and more, sewing up the plot in the most delightful way.
If you’ve been on the fence, I encourage you to go get a copy. I expect you’ll end up being as entranced as I was.
